The Fall of Boston
This series was created in the fall of last year, capturing the vivid colors and textures of Boston through the lens of a DJI Mini 4 Pro. Most of the photographs were taken around the Boston Common, the Public Garden, Boylston Street, and the Prudential Center—places I passed by almost every day after class. Living near Prudential, I often found myself walking through these parks and streets, struck by the elegance of the buildings and the changing tones of the season.
Motivated by the desire to preserve these fleeting impressions, I bought a drone and began teaching myself how to use it. Day after day, I carried it with me, spending long hours sitting in the Public Garden, carefully observing and photographing the city from above. In the editing process, I created several versions of color grading for some images, exploring different ways to highlight their mood and atmosphere. I included these variations in the final selection, as together they reflect both the richness of Boston’s autumn and my own evolving perspective as a photographer.
For me, this project became both a personal archive and a gift—a way to honor the city that shaped my daily life, and at the same time, a small offering back to Boston itself.
